App Sections

iMD has 6 Tabs or Pages:

Downloads Page: For Searching and Downloading a database/book

Databases Page: You can see and use installed databases here

Search Page: Search in titles of all chapters of installed books

Content Search Page: Search in content of all chapters of installed books

Favorites Page: See your favorite topics in all installed books

Account Page: Change app settings and see your account information

Downloading a Book/Database

First you must go to the downloads page, wait for the list to load . 'Loading Databases' means that the app is downloading the list.
Search the name of database/book in the search bar.
By default all downloaded books would install on 'Documents/iMD' folder of Internal Storage. You can change the download path in the Account Tab.

Databases Page

Here you can see the list of books and databases installed on your device.
By tapping every database, you can see it's content.
By tapping Edit on top of the page, you can delete databases or re-arrange them.
By tapping the recent button on top-left of the page, you can see recent topics & databases.
For faster finding of your database, you can search using the search bar on top of the page.

Search page

Here you can quickly search in the title of chapters of all installed databases.
You can use parenthesis and logical operators in this search. for example:

AND: means that both words must be in the content, in default space between words means AND. like asthma AND treatment/asthma treatment (they are the same)
OR : means that at least one of the words must be in the content, like asthma OR COPD
NOT : the word that comes after NOT, shouldn't be in the content, like asthma NOT COPD
NEAR : means that the two words should be less that 10 words apart in the content. like psoriasis NEAR treatment
"" : means that exactly what's inside "" must be in the content. like "Stevens Johnson"

Content Search Page

Here you can quickly search in the content of all chapters of all installed databases

Document Page

After clicking on a chapter, or a search result, you will come to this page
You can zoom in and out by pinching in and out.
By holding your finger on a text, highlight bar will apear, where you can highlight, write a note and define the selected word.
Other options as described on the photo are:
- Find in Text
- Export current chapter as PDF
- Add chapter to Favorites List
- See and save photos inside the chapter

Favorites Page

Here you can see all your favorite chapters from all installed databases.
You can delete an item by tapping on Edit at the top of the page.

Account Page

Here you can see your username, Subscription details and app settings.
Some of the settings are:

Select Download Path: Changing the default download path.
Select Landing Page : Determine which tab should be selected when you open the app.
Fullscreen Mode : Tablet specific option. If active, left panel won't show on Landscape mode.
Hide List On Select : Tablet specific option. if active, left panel will hide automatically after opening a chapter.
Hide Status Bar : Hides the status bar of the device.
Dynamic Ripple Colors : Color effects on icons and buttons. You can turn it off for faster scroll.
Collapse Search Results : If active, results will collapse based on database after searching in the search page.
Collapse Content Results : If active, results will collapse based on database after searching in the content search page.
Lock in Fullscreen : Tablet specific option, if active, swiping won't show the left panel and you must click the icon at the top-left corner of the screen.
Use Less Space For Install : New method for extracting zips, without needing so much space, works on some phones.
Use Old PDF System : Androids older than 5.0 won't support new pdf making system, so you must enable this option on androids older that 5.0
Use Delta Update : Some databases like uptodate have something called 'Delta Update', when enabled you just download the changes, not the whole database. Installation process on these updates are time consuming although may corrupt the database. enable it on new devices, and if it fails, disable it.
Use Collapsing Toolbar : If active, toolbars will autohide on scroll.
